Deutsch Castellano After a long bus drive, various drug checks and hours of waiting on the Chilean border we finally arrived in Iquique, apparently Chile's best beach resort, on midday. The city doesn't seem to be very excting on first sight - blocks and blocks and hardly any beach to see. But it also has cude little streets and coffee shops to offer, salt statues and beautiful squares. We even found a beach in the end and the Pazific ocean looked fab, reflecting the sun in the afternoon. Nevertheless, Iquique isn't as exciting as we thought and we happily pack our bags and leave midnight the same day. --------- Nach einer langen Nachtfahrt, etlichen Drogenkontrollen und morgentlichen Warten an Chiles Grenze sind wir gegen Mittag in Iquique, Chiles Badeort Nr.1, angekommen. Von oben gesehen gleicht die Stadt einer einzigen Betonwüste und viel Strand kann man auch nicht sehen, von unter allerdingst sieht es gleich ganz anders aus: kleine süße Promenaden, Cafes, Salzskulpturen, hübsche Plätze und sogar etwas Strand. Der Pazifik funkelt in der Nachmittagssonne und wir fühlen uns glücklich. Iquique alles in Allem ist recht hübsch, jedoch etwas öde und gegen Mitternacht brechen wir ins 12 Stunden entfernte San Pedro de Atatcama auf. --------- |
