A short climb up to Whitby Abbey

Grey seals came to look at us.

Walking from Ravenscar on the cliff path we come to Robin Hoods...

Well we have been back in the UK for six weeks now and have never stopped working. All those jobs that needed doing on our return including the removal of a dead and highly pungent "RAT" from our utility room roof had to be done.

Last week, the weather being so hot we decided to visit Whitby, Ravenscar, Robin Hoods Bay, Flamborough Head and Spurn Point to do a little light walking and also do some bird watching.

Part of the cliff path had disappeared at Whitby so we headed for Robin Hoods Bay (Fish and Chips) then Ravenscar to see the grey seals and collect some ammonites.

After a couple of days with friends Steve and Pat we headed for Flamborough Head to see the birds (Puffins and Razorbills etc.) but then Spurn Point was a great disappointment with little wildlife to be seen that day. We finished up at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park before descending on our daughter Claire in Sheffield for a few days rest. (laying crazy paving!)

Back home now for a real rest ....oops the garage roof is leaking - more work!
