Packed up early and stopped in Bled to take photos of the castle overlooking the lake. Bled is very pretty, but full of tourist buses, so I am glad we stayed further out in the country, although it meant a bit more driving. And boy, do Europeans drive FAST. If you could have seen how timid I was pulling out of the car rental office a week ago and now I can pass people on the autopiste, do U turns in the middle of a busy city street, pull up over curbs and park on sidewalks, and I did manage to make it through the Julian Alps, with over 50 hairpin turns. I must say though, I was happy to return the car and get back to public transportation.
We checked into the Celica Hostel and ended up in the same cell as a week ago, then took a walk into town and people watched from the local square. Keally and Lindsay went to a teen music concert. In the evening we went to an amazingly huge Mexican restaurant, followed by delicious gelato in the square and a late night walk back to the hostel.
