|Today we arrived in Palma Majorca or should I say Christopher Skase Heaven, no wonder he escaped to here the wealth stares you in the face with its 8 Marinas filled with massive yatchs of varing sizes mainly huge. Beautiful blue skies and warm weather. We did a tour of the city looking at the various homes of the wealthy and points of interest and yet another Cathedral (everyone is about churched out) our group refers to them as not another ABC (another bloody cathedral) however it was still worth while seeing. The day is getting hotter as we head off to our next destination a Bullring. The bullring operates every 2nd Sunday mainly for tourists. A few of us went into the centre of the ring pretending to be famous bullfighters. Following this we were taken to a pearl factory one of the biggest exports of the region. Their pearls are made from fish scales which gives them a much brighter lustre. After the tour we returned to the ship and got ready to go out for a show and dinner on Majorca. We travelled 14 kilometers by bus to the Teatro Dell'Opera which held 2000 people. The meal was nothing to write home about but the show was out of this world. It started with a Lion King tribute then progressing to Big Band, Flamingo Dancing, Acrobats, Illusionists, Singers, Riverdance and after this there was still more. At the completion of the night they had a water display in the courtyard to various classical music absolutely fantastic. We returned to the ship at 12.30am and set sail at 1.00am for Barcelona. The German rock band was still playing with hundreds of guest dancing on top of us at the pool deck. Finally at 1.40pm the music stopped and we were able to sleep until 5.00am when the deck hands started to put out or should I say throw the deck chairs into place.
