Left the hotel pretty early and made our way back to the airport to catch a flight to Surat Thani. After the 1hr flight we were ushered onto a bus which was only meant to take 1 hr to get to the pier....well 2 1/2 hrs later we finally arrived there to notice about 25 huge trucks carrying, cement, rocks and sand all lining up to board the same boat as us and a pretty dodgy one at that....don't think Mel was too stoked after her last experience on a boat and I wasn't looking forward to taking care of her sick bags either!! The ferry took 2 1/2 hrs to get to Koh Phangan and then a quick ride to our bungalows at Seethanu, you def get what you pay for. We were about to leave but met a three Aussie guys who let us look in there room and it was a quick decision to upgrade. Nice air con (not that it worked that well) bungalow right on the beach front.
