| Today we went to The Badlands of South Dakota. Lots of rock mountains. Feels like your on another planet. We also went to the town of Wall. Wall Drug Store is famous out here. Back in the 1800's they gave away ice water to anyone who wanted it. Coffee was & is still 5 cents. The drug store now takes up approx. 2 blk. X 2 blk area. It is really a little mall with a bunch of stores, all owned by Wall Drugs. It was interesting. Of course they had a lot of Black Hills Gold. No I didn't buy any more. We then continued our trip & ended up in Mitchell, SD. This is where the Corn Palace is. We decided to take today off. It is 85 * and the campground has a pool. They also have a laundry & it is that time again. We will go to the Corn Palace on Wednesday, on our way out. To be continued..... |
