OK Its hot its darned hot and getting hotter. I've tried to think positive but its getting a bit dificult.

Still didn't manage a start till 7. The weather was pleasantly warm at 7.30 so I ran walked 12k in 1hr 20mins. Went to a farmers market and then coffee and bought bread and cheese for lunch. I went on getting slower till stopped for lunch in a small town Torros something. I decided to buy a bottle of wine (cold red of course). I sat outside and shared it with an irishman and an american woman. I have forgotten to report on the quality of cheese and chorizo which have become my staple diet with fruit. It gets a bit sweaty but it actually tastes good anyway.

Travelled with this couple till just outside Varna. By then the heat was ridiculous and I had run out of water. Connor had two so rather that share her water 3 ways. I took off and ran to the town. I don't think I have ever had that feeling where you can't swallow and your tongue is truly stuck to the roof of your mouth. Thank God for the ever present fuente. Then the bar where i I had a beer followed by a coke followed by a cafe con leche followed by a ice cream! I then decided to make the last 9km to my destination Logrono. This may have seemed unwise but I needed to buy an adapter to charge my cell phone and to get on the internet. Store opening and closing times here are a little different and to the unaccustomed darn right annoying. They are basically closed most of the day and seem to open at 5pm. Just another thing to get used to.

I confess another hotel. Very grand at $50 night but it has a bath which I can stretch out in. I also have it to myself.

At the moment the biggest problem is the weather. It really is too hot to do this. I ought to stop at lunch and that maybe what I will do. I'm told that the Mesata is coming up and that is hot, flat, no cover and few villages and less fuente.
