| Today we went to an area called Mysterious Cosmos. It was a very strange place. Set back in the hills everything was built slanted so when you walked into the small building you felt dizzy and couldn't stand up streight. Balls rolled up hill. Hard to explain but fun and very, very strange. We then went to the Chapel In The Hills. It is a Norwegian built Chapel. The structure was beautiful. I didn't know that in Norway the insulation on the roofs was dirt & grass. They built their homes close to the mountain so the goats could get on the roofs to eat the grass. (No need to mow it) We drove through Rapid City. I thought Rapid City was huge but the population is approx. 60,000. Tomorrow we are on our way to Wall, SD. then to Mitchel, SD. We have been told not to miss eitherh of these places. Don't know what to expect so we will let you know when we find out what is there. To be continued.... |
