Colonial Cuenca, and its New Cathedral.

Cuenca´s Old Cathedral.

Knackered and hungry, Ca poses for another photo.

Lazy walk along the riverbank.

Tired, dusty and smelling of train exhaust fumes we arrived in Cuenca, Ecuador´s third largest city. After an hour long search we eventually found a hostel that suited our requirements... meaning we didn`t have to climb six flights of stairs to reach the room.

Cuenca`s renowned for fine colonial buildings... but we had to catch up on the website. As we intended to only stay in the city for a couple of nights we only had time for a quick tour of the city and its crackin ice-cream parlours, before setting our backsides down for a mammoth two sitting, 6-hour update of the website.

Apart from sight-seeing, web-site updating and beer guzzlin, we had not seen a great deal of the city as we needed to quickly move on through Ecuador before heading into Peru.
