The Bouchers at Home on the Road travel blog

Arrived at the Escapees' Rainbow Plantation Park here in Summerdale, AL on Tuesday, May 2nd, after an 8 hour drive from Ocala, FL. We spent 2 nights at the Coach Care place in Ocala, to get some work done on the coach. Their facilities are excellent (water and electric HUs, and a place to park the car). Their charge for service was very reasonable, so they are on our list of places to use for RV chassis work.

The Plantation is a beautiful park - huge sites, very well kept and clean. This is only the 2nd Escapee park we've been to (Sumpter Oaks in Bushnell being the other). This is a much nicer park than Bushnell, which still has the unhappy feel of an old trailer park (which is what it was prior to being bought a few years ago by Escapees). We will stay here for 4 or 5 days and then head up to the Escapees Park outside Knoxville, TN. While we're here, we'll investigate both the AL and FL gulf coasts and area points of interest. We've met a few people here who were at Bushnell - apparently many of us heading north to cool off!
