Across the hills to Ghorepani

Yet another long day ahead of us as we climbed from Tatopani(1190m) to the end point Ghorepani (2895m). A lot of climbing!

We were treated to a clear day as left Tatopani although Tim left his beanie behind at the guesthouse so all was not quite that clear that morning!

A solid 4 hours of more climbing took us above the valley and Annapurna South loomed above us. Stopping at a high point there were Bhurias (porters) singing their songs, which was beautiful to hear. Tim tried one of their backpacks for size (roughly 50 kgs) and decided to stick to his own mesely 13 kgs! *grin*

Lunch was on the go with marmite and yaks cheese sarnies which helped get us up the last 3 very hard hours. It seemed never ending! Rain and steps by the masses. Eventually we got to Ghorepani and dried off. Early night as we had an early rise for Poon Hills famous sunrise. (Affectionately called by us Poo Hill)
