| Continuing on from the overnight train from Drama to Istanbul was not the easiest travel, since we had to be woken 5 times for passport checks while we were sleeping. Anyway we arrived in Istanbul just after 9am and backpacked our way to the Travel Talk group hotel, a short distance from the train station. Checked into 1 room and got some rest, then after had a bit of a wander around town. Wıth unexpected changes to the tour group we all had to change rooms so that Vicki and Peter were in the suite and Amanda sharing with a group member. We had tea and coffee at the cafe across from hotel with our tour guide and when we tried to pay the bill, the cafe said no it's ok, wıth compliments ...mmm free! In the arvo, we had a group brief and then dinner where we met some of the other travellers. |
