The internet cafe I am blogging from is closing soon so this is going to be a quick version of our last two days with limited pictures

Arrived last night in Athens and drove two hours to Nafplio. Very long day. When we arrived in Nafplio we stopped in a local bar to get directions to the Pension Marianna. Yesterday was definately like Mr. Toads wild ride. I have oficially butchered the Greek language at every turn...LOL I still can't seem to figure out how to say hello, good bye or thank you.

Most of the people in Nafplio right now are either Greek or Italian...very few Americans. Today is Good Friday here with Sunday being Orthodox Easter. We are lucky to have a room.

The Pension Marianna is where we are staying for the next 4 days. It is amazing...check out the pictures to see the view from our room. Nafplio is undescribable...the food, the smells...all delicious. Everywhere flowers are in bloom...bouganvilla, poppies, daisies etc. The trees are also in bloom. Everywhere you go you smell blossoms of Orange and Lemon....scrumptous.

Last night we ate like Royalty. The food is brilliant

Today we visited the town and ruins of Epidavrous. Spent at least two hours just in awe of everything. Good thing our car is tiny because gasoline is very expensive. I will be uplaoding more pictures soon.

Tomorrow we hike the 999 steps to the Castle. Sooo much for the jet lag...LOL

Sorry I wish I could share more but they are shutting this place down for the night...more later...stay tuned!!!!!
