Parliament buildings and BIG BEN

Tower Bridge

Buckingham palace

Hi Everyone :)

Second day here in London and it is so impressive, my first impression was something out of Mary Poppins with all the chimneys everywhere. I didn't think i would like London but it is really amazing and so easy to get around in. Our first stop this morning was Madam Tussads Wax Musseum, the celebrities here were so life like you had to look twice at people around you if they stood still too long, we got some great photos here. Next we hoped on our red double decker tour bus (I have always wanted to go on one!)which was fantastic with commentry all around the city! We stopped off at the London Eye which at 135 metres tall gives a fantastic view of the city, the line was sooooooooo long but lucky us had pre booked :) What an amazing ride!

We then hoped back on our bus and went over London bridge to the Tower of London bridge and then to Tower of London which was really impressive with its old stone walls and of course one of the most amazing things the crown jewels! these were so beautiful and worth a wait in a line to see :)

We then had lunch at Sherlock Homes Pub which was the most expensive fish and chips & beer we have had ($50 NZ).

Then it was on to Buckingham Palace, wow what a sight, the guards were very impressive not to mention the statues, gardens and the palace itself.

Our last stop for today was Harrods which was huge! and very expensive but well worth the look, for easter they have a gold Bunny up for bid at 20,000 pounds to start with!

Phew what a day its been another nice one here, chilly but nice. Some things we have noticed about London is that we have our bags checked and scanned everywhere and there are no rubbish bins in the tubes (due to the bombings). We started this day 12 hours ago but it went so quickly! So much more to see and do.

Hope you are all well, hugs
