Mae Surin Waterfall in the National Park, 100metre drop...boom

Hey guys

Well we finally managed to tear Caveman himself away from the 200 or so caves in Sappong and headed over to Mae Hong Son. Again the ride was tear jerkingly beautiful. The road is super curvy in places so TP and Pea did well.

Mae Hong Son is another touristy place on the loop we are doing. Interestingly we managed to catch one of the most religious festivals in Buddism - when the young boy monks are dressed in girl's clothes and faces are made up. We managed to watch a procession and caught up with the celebrations later on again, where we watched a traditional preformance of Thai dancing and the like.

Aside from a couple of cold beers by the lakeside, a Thai style BBQ, more Thai Wats nothing else interesting to report about this sleepy town.

Next morning we visited the awesome Mae Surin National Park down a lengthy 25km dirt road of ups and downs and were rewarded with spectacular views over one of SE Asia's highest drops (100 and summat metres no less).

It tooks hours so we decided that Mae Sariang was a better choice for the night

Take care

N and T x
