Grey Glacier

The Campsite

Looking back away from the Glacier

Yesterday we had arrived in showers into Puerto Natales but when we woke up today it was bucketing down. After getting the two and half our bus ride out to the ferry it was still raining and very cold. We crossed over to the start of the walk and after putting up our tents in pouring rain and a howling wind at the campsite. Daniel and I decide to walk up the Glacier lookout two hours up the valley. We ended up being very lucky as when we arrived at the lookout the weather cleared up for one hour allowing us a amazing view of the glacier and surrounding mountains. On the way back down it started to rain again. Later in the night around 12pm it become very clear and with the moonlight out I had amazing views of the Towers. You maybe asking what I was doing looking at the towers at this time of night. I had a wee rodent problem at the first place I pitched my tent and had to shift campsites at this time of night and as a result of this rodent problem I now have 3 holes in my tent.
