Roadtrip Day 16 Yaamba to Saint Helens beach - Mar 4, 2006

We left late on Saturday am due to the alcohol consumption the night before and my promise to my mother to not drink and drive and drove the scenic routes via Marlborough, St Lawrence and Carmila Beach along the very beautiful tropical Queensland coast. After stopping for a swim and lunch in the lovely Sarina we drove towards Mackay and camped at St Helens Beach reserve for the night. While it was worth it for the sunrise at 4.45am the next day we both got attacked by the sandflies and Lou had around 150 bites all over her legs alone that with the ones on her body you can only imagine the allergic reaction which followed over the next 5 days.
