My Frontier Canada trip travel blog

This was another driving day, though we did get to look at Winnipeg for half an hour on our way through. This was a bit of a dissapointment after so many really stunning rivers and waterfalls in the rockies, as it was a slow moving brown river, with a really touristy set of shops. We swiftly moved on.

On these big drives, we've been keeping ourselves entertained by doing a number of bus games. The most popular is bug bingo where we draw squares on the inside windscreen and pay 25 cents per square. The person with the biggest bug splat gets to keep the pot at the end. Usually arguments over quality of bug splat (colour, shape etc) over quantity occur - but - it's good fun. The other one is wheel of fortune, and with all our names taped on the front left tyre, the person who is uppermost when we stop has to do one of the chores - e.g. clean windscreen or fill up the van.

Today we decided to arbitrarily change the time zone for us about 200 miles too early, in order that we could get more done the next day. This meant that we got an extra hour the next day. Our best attempts to persuade our leader that we could use this to get 3 hours more sleep a night have so far failled.
