Walking toward centro Colima

On February 20th, we left for a 10 day inland road trip of the "western central highlands" of Mexico.

Our first stop was the city of Colima, the capital of the state of Colima. Colima is a city of 126,000 people, with beautiful lush vegetation in its parks and squares. While there, we visited La Compana, a small archaeological site with ruins dating back to 1500 BC, and the Museo de las Culturas de Occidente.
