Hello,

Well I understand the last update notice did not reach many folks. Well, now you'll have two to read through. And yes, by the time you read this, we will be on our way to Buenos Aires (BA) in Argentina. As many of you have said, about time! Yes, we had a blast in the snow, we've enjoyed the sun in Santa Cruz, but now the bigger adventure begins.

This week has been incredibly busy - we'll spare you all the details, but it was about the only time that you pause to think - hmm, just going to work would be much easier than this. But then after a few seconds you come back to your senses and do your best to get through the seemingly endless list of details and all the problems that ensue when things invariably don't go as smoothly as anticipated.

Many have asked - how much of your two months in South America is planned. Well, we have a rough outline of places we would like to visit in Argentina and Chile and a decent idea of how we would get there. We have 3 nights of a lodging reserved in BA and one night in Colonia de Sacramento in Uruguay, just a short boat ride from BA. After that point, we will figure it out as we go.

OK, then they ask - how many bags are you taking for two months. Jill is taking one medium sized backpack and a small daypack - that actually attaches to the backpack if desired. Tom also has a medium backpack, a camelbak that straps on somehow to the backpack and a backpacker guitar that also lashes onto the main pack. It's works great for both of us as long as you get used to seeing the other person in similar clothing. The benefit? Well, if you have to move fast, which happens quite often, or walk for long distances it is not only possible, but quite easy.

I think we'll end here, review the packing list for the 15th and final time and head off to the airport very soon. And I hope you enjoy a few more photo's from our days in the snow.

Que tenga buen dia,

Tom and Jill
