| I figured it to be nice to re-visit some places during this trip, so once, I arrived back in Thailand, I went directly to Koh Chang, where I landed on the first evening of my trip. This time, it was main season, though, and the island was completely changed and packed with tourists of the two-week-all-ionclusive type - which is why I took my posse and fled to the remote and deserted Long Beach, where the legendary Tree House Lodge opened their new guesthouse. This was a long and bumpy ride, but well worth it - Pamela, the German founder of the Tree House Lodge really has creativly created a small and shady paradise, using only natural materials, quiet and away from it all... Look at the pictured for details, as nothing really much happened there (except sunbathing, shell-foraging, talking and playing cards at night), I'll keep this entry short... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ich dachte mir, dass es nett waere, auf meiner Reise einige Orte mehrmals zu besuchen, weswegen ich mich (zusammen mit Cindy & Maz), zurueck zum dritten Mal in Thailand, direkt nach Koh Chang begab, dort wo ich am ersten Abend meiner Reise gelandet war... Nun war jedoch Hauptsaison und alles war anders, die Insel gepackt voll mit so-called TWAI's (two-weeks-all-inclusive) Touristen, weswegen wir hochmuetigen Backpacker uns sehr schnell in Richtung des verlassenen und entlegenen Long Beaches machten, wo die legendaere Tree House Lodge gerade am Eroeffnen ihres neuen Guesthouses ist. Diese Flucht beinhaltete zwar wieder eine lange, rumpelige und staubige Pick-Up-Tour, doch das war es wirklich wert: Pamela, die deutsche Gruenderin der Tree House Lodge hat dort wirklich ein schoenes, schattiges Backpacker-Versteck geschaffen, rein aus Natur-Materialien oder das, was der Strand halt so anspuelt (die Tuerschaniere sind Streifen von Gummireifen), kreativ, angenehm, ruhig und weit weg von allem... Seht Euch die Bilder an - weil dort wirklich nicht so extrem viel passierte (ausser Sonnen, Lesen, Muschelsuchen, und Kartenspielen am Abend), werde ich diesen Eintrag kurz halten... |
