Hi To All,
We have been in an area where we did not get reception or online service ( could someone please send a message to WaKeeney, Kansas that there are modern inventions called "computers"?!!). On Saturday we stayed in camp at the Dakota RV Park in Golden, Colorado. WE had a light snack for dinner and then went for a stroll around the park. (Of course this was all after watching NASCAR night racing. We have our priorities you know!) At the very back of the park was a trail that led up into the mountainside. Doug looked up the hillside and suggested that we go up and explore! "You and what other fool?!! was my question back to him. As I looked down at the flipflops we had on our feet I immediately pictured some huge, ravenous mountain lion chasing after us. "Not a good idea, Dear. Let's just stay in the park." Truthfully, I just don't know how strong our "Fight or flight" response time is.
The next day we went into downtown Denver and saw The Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. There were quite a few Bronco fans having dinner at various restaurants as there was a game that night.
We stopped into a local Oktoberfest that was in progress. (It should more appropriately have been named "Septemberfest" but what do I know about such things?) We then went into a cuban bar called "The Samba Room" and had a delicious 3 cheese and crab dip! The decoration and furnishings were very authentic looking. I suggested that we have our waiter take a pic of us in there. Doug, being the logical fellow that he is, said "We don't want them to think we're not used to places like this!" So you will not see a pic of us in the Samba Room!
We then met up with an adjuster from the old days. He and his wife met us for dinner and we had a great time and a wonderful dinner at PF Changs China Bistro. We got some excellent tips on things to see and do in Florida when we arrive.
