Round the World in 365 days travel blog

Hola from Barcelona!

It is nice to be out of London where the only thing we could afford to do was walk. Barcelona is amazing. We arrived Sunday afternoon and spent the day walking around the old sections of town. The architecture is beautiful and the little streets are filled with people. We met some interesting characters from Chile, Taiwan, Senegal and Mexico in Plaza Reial and spent the evening listening to stories about everyones travels.

On Monday Ben and I went to Sagrada Familia which is this amazing church that has been under construction for the past 130+ years. We climbed up one of the spires and got a great view of the City. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach trying to keep up with our tans (it is a rough life). Our friends Bridget and Mavis arrived and we were very happy to see familar faces! Unbeleivably they were not tired from there 14+ hour journey from California so we went out to dinner at an amazing restaurant called The Attic. The food was delicious! Then it was back to Plaza Reial where we spent the evening drinking cans of beer and watching the police cut up a palm tree that had fallen down in the square.

Today we are headed for Ibiza!
