Out and about in Christchurch
| We headed to Christchurch today, just for the one night. Unfortunately we had to come here so that I could get to a Qantas agency to change my flight to Australia. I like it so much here I'm staying another week! Christchurch is very much the big City, but has a really relaxed and friendly feel about it. As far as Cities go it is really nice. We were only here for the one night so really didn't get time to do much, but will be coming back before flying out in a week or so, so have big plans to take a Gondolla ride to the Botanical gardens. We have decided that our next step will be to drive across the Country from East to West over the mountains. Apparently this only takes 3 hours and is one of the most scenic routes of New Zealand, so having to come down to Christchurch seemed to work really well afterall.... |
