Cradle Montain
| We finaly arrived in the Cradle Montain, which is another very famous landmark in Tasmania. The area is just amazing, it's so beautifull!! I couls stay there for days! We have done a lot of hiking around the montain and the lakes. We did not go on top of the Cradle montain but we still got some great views!! Our camp site is in the middle of the forest and they are loads of kangaroos wandering around the tents... they are so cute especially the babies... the 1st evening we went for a walk in the bush and we saw many more kangaroos but also some wombats... They are so nice. It's a bit hard to get close to them so I did not get any nice shot! They only come out at nite and I did not want to scare them with a flash! On our second night there we did not see any wombats but in the camp ground we saw some Tasmanian Devils and fury Possums. And no the Tasmanian Devils don't look like Taz at all... They are quite small, black with a white stripe under the belly. Sorry no pictures... We are very lucky with the wild life, we are seeing so many native animals... We still have to see some platypus, pinguins and maybe the Tasmanian tiger which is supposed to be extincted. Some regions of Tasmania are so hard to access that they still have not been explored (one of the few inexplored place left on earth) so maybe some tiger are still hidding somewhere... Nous sommes finallement arrive a Cradle Montain qui est un autre endroit tres connu de Tasmanie. C'est vraiment un endroit magnifique!! Je pourrais rester la pendant des jours... On a marche pas mal dans les montagnes, on est pas monte en haut de la Cradle montain mais on a quand meme eu des vues magnifiques! Notre camping est au milieu de la foret et il y a plein de kangourous partout... Ils sont tres mignons... (surtout les bebes) Le 1er soir nous sommes alle nous prommener dans le bush et on a eu le plaisir de voir pleins de kangourous mais surtout des wombats!!! Ils sont vraiment adorable! Je ne voulais pas les effrayer avec le flash donc j'ai pas be bonne photos. Notre 2eme soir on a pas vu de wombats par contre dans le camping on a vu des diabled de Tasmanie et des possums tres tres poilu! Et nous les diables ne resemblent absolument pas a Taz, ils sont petit, noir avec une bande blanche sous le ventre! Desole mais j'ai pas de photo! Pour le moment nous avons vraiment de la chance avec les animaux, on voit presque tout les animaux locaux. Il nous reste a voir des ornithorynques et des pinguins et peut etre des tigres de Tasmanie qui sont sense etre extinct... Certain endoits de Tasmanie sont si difficile d'acces qu'ils font partie des rare endoit encore inexplore sur terre... peut etre qu'il reste quelques tigres de cache quelques part... |
