| I know that we have been a little negligent over the last couple of days with our entries but come on... we are finally warm, sleeping late and eating well - so can you blame us if all of you are not among the first thoughts in our mind?? Other than our first night here where we wandered around the small sleepy town of Panjim in search of food only to be faced with multiple Indian diner type establishments, and finally a Domino's Pizza - we have been eating like kings - burgers, steaks etc. That first night, we did visit a restaurant called Texas complete with the steer head on the sign and the poor Indian waiters all dressed up like Cowboys - the joke is that they are a Indian veg restaurant - I wish that we could have taken a picture of the of the empty restaurant and the humiliated cowboys - I know, I am evil, but it was pretty funny. Also notable is the American Wannabe Hippy that is staying in our hotel. He has yet to wear pants - only sarongs - which isn't really so bad except that this morning as he stood close to us on the balcony we noticed that his beige and orange sarong was more than a little see-through! We visited the beach yesterday, checked out the Indian Club scene last night, which doesn't really begin until after 12:30am and is really just a room with flashy lights and full of dudes. Tomorrow we start our day early (before noon) with a dolphin cruise. Not much more to report - I am going to save my finger strength for my very detailed report from Amsterdam - Ken has big plans!!!!!! All of our pictures should be uploaded by next weekend. Would also like to send a shout out to Velvet, Ken's sister who is home after successful heart surgery and doing well! We miss you all and will be home in less than a week!!!!! By the way its sunny, over 30 today and wonderful!!!! Ken and Reeg |
