Tower on Glastonbury Tor

Least ruined part of Glastonbury Abbey ruins

Blackberry and apple pie for tea! Bevan the cook.

By the time we got to Glastonbury we were a trifle tired. Found internet access and checked mail. Unfortunately the My trip Journal site was down so couldn't send an update. Walked around the town. Very 'new age', with lots of legends attached. King Arthur is supposed to have been buried here. It seemed two out of 3 shops were alternative bookshops, crystals, and everything else from witches to permaculture (which I would have thought had become 'mainstream' but not here it seems.) Bevan was sure he could smell marihuana smoke drifting down the street. He did see a guy crotcheting himself a hat. The old abbey got a quick look then out to Glastonbury Tor. The intention was to walk up. There was however a minor problem. We drove out then discovered there was only enough parking for about 6 cars. Which explained why we had seen a park and drive park back in the town. Choices!! GO back into town and start again or take a photo and give up the intention of walking. Afraid we took the latter option.
