We finally made it over here! After much time spent in airports (and one night in a Heathrow airport hotel) we made it to Italia! Our short stay in England was nice, I fell in love with little kids who have Bristish accents; decided that I'm going to teach my kids to talk like that- they may sound socially akward but its way to cute! We got in yesterday to Sicily, the island that makes up the southernmost part of Italy. It is sooo beautiful here! Our hotel is right on the beach, so you see palm trees but then there's a giant volcano in the middle of the island that is covered in snow. Today we went about 20km away to Tauramino, a hillside town. The small streets were filled with cute shops and restraunts, and it seemed like they kept going on forever. For once I abstained from shopping because currently I'm carrying my body weight in luggage. We also trekked up to the Greek theater there, it was amazing and had a view that looked down 1,000 feet into the ocean. It's so amazing to think they did all of it by hand thousands of years ago. Right below was a beautiful hotel; when my mom ttried to get reservations for 2 rooms for 2 nights they said it would be $10,000!!! I'm thinking its where I want to go on my honeymoon someday, haha poor guy! Now we are back at our little hotel bar preparing for tomorrow, I have to wrap it up. Unlike myself who can fall asleep anytime, anywhere my mom actually needs some rest before our 11 hour train ride in the morning. Ciao!!
