Summer in Asia 2007 |

Welcome to the website of my summer in Asia! I spent most of the summer of 2007 in Beijing, China, with the Stanford-Tsinghua Engineering Exchange Program. This program was a graduate student exchange between the School of Engineering at Stanford and Tsinghua University ("the MIT of China") in Beijing. I also was lucky enough to stop off in Japan both before and after I was in China- the first stop was purely for travel, and the second stop was to attend a conference in Tokyo.
I hope you enjoy my journal! I mostly used it to post photos and keep a record of my travels throughout China and Japan and my everyday adventures in Beijing. When I had the time and inspiration, I also tried to reflect on my experiences of living and working in China. I loved the 3 1/2 months I spent in Asia, and hope that this journal helps you experience a bit of that enjoyment.
