Travel with the Soady's
Welcome to Travel with the Soady’s! When we did our first blog about our trip to Europe in 2006 (Soady’s Travel to Europe) to keep our family informed of our whereabouts, we had no idea we would continue writing about our adventures and total strangers would read this. We certainly didn’t know we would sell our house, etc. and become full-time RVers in 2007!
We bought a new Carriage fifth wheel and thought, since it is new and doesn’t have a motor, we won’t have any mechanical issues to deal with! After three and one-half years on the road we endured as many repairs as we could deal with and decided it would be less stressful to go back to planes, trains and automobiles for our travel. If you are new to the RVing world and wonder what it’s like for someone who didn’t know anything about it, read “Slow Gypsy Life of Lynda and Bob”. Our RV is parked at Jojoba Hills RV Resort in Aguanga, CA and we will embark on a six-month journey by car March 20, 2012 – “Grand Circle of North America”.
Each journey will be separately shown in the drop down box at the upper right. Included in “Slow Gypsy Life of Lynda and Bob” is a trip to France and Belgium in 2008, England in 2009 and to Asia in 2010. Finally I realized all our trips should be separated so that’s the new look of our blog. That makes the maps easier to follow as well.
