First Snowbird Adventure - Winter 2008 |
This will be interesting... the first time we've ventured 'down south' during the Canadian wintertime. The goal is to drive as far as Las Vegas, then 'de-winterize' the motor home and wander about the south for almost two months. We'll be moving at least every week, looking for spots where we can spend more time in future winters.
We have reservations in Puerto Penasco, Mexico for two weeks starting February 4, so we know that we'll be there, followed by a few days in Yuma Arizona. After Yuma, the route is weather dependent. Good weather will see us on the California coast for awhile; bad weather on the coast will force us to spend more time inland.
Sometime around March 10, we will re-winterize the bus and travel back to Calgary, so that Elaine can get back to work for March 17.
