Sarah-Jayne's South East Asian Adventure, Summer 2009

Heeeeeeey, welcome to my trip journal about my South East Asian Adventure.

Over the next ten weeks I'm going to be travelling around the other side of the world with Miss Jessica Beagelman (my super-double rowing buddy and future housemate) and writing about it on here so that you can keep up-to-date with what adventures I'm embarking on.

Our first stop is Jakarta,Indonesia from where we will be heading to the beaches and volcanoes of Bali, Lombok and the Gili Islands. Our plan then is to travel west across the island of Java before moving on to Singapore.

From here we plan to head north to Peninsular Malaysia, visiting the capital Kuala Lumpur, the jungle and the beautiful Perhentian Islands (as recommended by my wonderful Kate Saker).

The next stop will be the Thai Islands, with an obligatory visit to the Full Moon Party on Koh Pha-Ngan and much basking in the hopefully hot sunshine.

From here we intend to head to Chiang Mai, Rai and other Chiangs, where we might even ride on an elephant. After this we're heading back to Bangkok to collect Annabel (Jess's home friend) who's joining us for the rest of the trip.

The three of us (and anybody else we may have bumped into on the way) are then gonna move east and spend the next three or four weeks in Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Our plan then is to spend the last week or so on the Thai Islands again, going to the September Full Moon Party and topping up our tan before heading back to Bangkok to catch a flight home.

I'll try my best to keep this blog updated with where I am and what I'm doing and I hope you'll enjoy reading it.

Miss and love you lots xxx
