Simon Richmond does the BBL on the TMSM
Simon's got a thing about long-distance train travel. The rite of passage was a European inter-rail journey around Europe. He's since railed all over the UK from Penzance to Thurso, and headed east, entirely by train, from London to Hong Kong via Central Asia. There's been the Indian Pacific and the Ghan in Australia, and - the big one - the Trans-Siberian route from Moscow to Vladivostok, in both directions! He's now psyched up for the Big Beijing Loop (BBL), travelling sections of the Trans-Manchurian, Trans-Siberian and Trans-Mongolian (TMSM) rail routes, rattling out of China, into Russia and Mongolia then back into China in the course of a month.
