Jan and Rick's Cross-Canada Biking Adventure

Jan and Rick travel blog
Welcome to our marvelous cross-Canada adventure. From June 22 to August 30 we are travelling with a group of 40 riders intent on biking from Vancouver to St. John's, Newfoundland. The tour is organized by a group called Tour Du Canada and this is their 20th year of operation. The Tour Du Canada is considered to be the longest annual bike ride in the world. Fortunately, we have a large support van carrying our luggage and supplies as we venture from campground to campground across the country. You can go to www.TourduCanada.com for more information.

This Trip Journal is in response to those who have asked if they can somehow follow our progress. We will endeavor to provide updates at least once a week as we find internet cafes and libraries with computers. To the right is a link where you can request notification of updates on your computer. You can also check our itinerary and leave messages.

We enter this adventure with much trepidation as this is not considered appropriate behaviour for aging grandparents. Please pray that all our days are sunny and that the wind is always at our back.

Note: Our entries are listed in order immediately to the right of the map. Just click on the date of your choice.
