Welcome to our trip journal!
It did not take much persuading for us to leave blazing South Texas during the brutal August heat. We will be making our way across the west to Priddis, AB, Canada to visit our pals Louann and David. We think they may be just a little nuts as not only invited us, but also the dog/terrorists Cissy and Tia. We will keep you posted on how that goes!!
Our plan is to leave Rockport, head across Texas (for days and days) and then stop in Colorado Springs, Jackson Hole and Grand Teton, Yellowstone then on to Canada. After our visit, we will return through Glacier National Park, cross Montana, take a little jog to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Wind Caves National Park. In South Dakota we are staying at a BnB for pets where dogs are allowed to bring their well-behaved humans. Finally we will cross Kansas and return home, hopefully without encountering Dorothy and Toto and the Wicked Witch.
