'O' is for Oman

Hello again. If you read last year's trip journal you will know that the ash-spewing Icelandic volcano below the Eyjafjallajökull glacier scuppered my plans to start that trip in Oman. Thankfully this year there were no ash clouds and the political unrest in the Middle East steered sufficiently clear of Oman to allow my trip to proceed this time (although unbeknown to us there were a couple of minor incidents whilst we were there).

And what a photogenic, fascinating, hospitable place Oman turned out to be. Read on and I am sure you will agree. Now just 'Y' and 'Z' to go...
