Welcome to my Travel Journal. Fraom A(msterdam) to Z(anzibar)
On this Trip Journal website I will record the route that I follow and the adventures I will encounter on my 4.5 month trip through Asia.
Friday 9 April 2007 I will leave to St Petersburg and after a few day in this amazing city I will join the group for 9 the Vodkatrain: the Transmongolia Express all the way to Bejing, China. A 6 day-7 night train ride of 8.500 km, passing 6 time zones going through Russia (Siberia) and Mongolia to Bejing. After two months in China it's time for a different country. Instead of the origianl plan of ibet, Nepal and India (will be visited on a next trip!) I will go to Vietnam and via Bangkok to Tanzania! Here will I first climb Africa's highest mountain: Kilimanjaro (hopefully to the top of 5.896 meter), then go on safari and, finaly, have a few days of real vacation on Zanzibar!
