Adventures of Camp Host at Lassen Volcanic NP |

Welcome to my trip journal! This will not be a trip in terms of miles traveled but rather a trip through the summer season, relating my experiences as a volunteer campground host at the Manzanita Lake Campground in Lassen Volcanic National Park, CA. This will be my fourth season as a volunteer at Lassen - full seasons in 2006 & 2007 and just as a replacement to finish out the season when the camp host had to depart before the season ended. Being a volunteer at Lassen has been a rewarding adventure, with very few 'bumps' along the way. So, if you choose to follow along, Welcome! I hope you will enjoy the 'trip' as much as I will. The season starts for me on 21 May. My days off, when I will have access to a computer will be Wednesday & Thursday so it will be during that period each week that I will be passing on the experiences of the previous week, the first 'episode' to be 27 or 28 May.
