Knomad in America

Welcome to my trip journal!
I'm sure there will be a learning curve so bear with me.
So where to begin? I just wanted to explore. So I head out on this journey with only basic plans of the Midwest, for the moment. Maybe further as the wanderlust takes me. Think Thoreau, Muir, and Kerouac. In Knowlton history I think it was Ray Milner who took a 3 month journey across to California. Of course the roads were were dirt, if I remember the story correctly, and no Holiday Inns. So begins the trip, like so many before. In my trip wish list are; the Knowlton landmarks. Iowa to find grave sites, and up to Canada at some point. Hayward, Wis. to remember Round Lake days. Fishing of course is in the mix everywhere. I'd like to go to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Buy a canoe and explore any lake. See the Canoe Museum in Peterborough, Ontario. I do want to go to Pensacola, Fl. to see a real PBY Catalina up close and see what Dad flew in the war. I know next year will be a wedding in N.J. and then up to Mass. to see Walden Pond and more Knowlton history. Did you know the historic Knowlton house in Ipswich, Mass is a condo? Then the historic highways (Jim!). The Lincoln Hwy. and maybe U.S.50 coast to coast. Yes, Jim, all the little roads! Washington, D.C. and Civil War sites. Jamestown, Williamsburg.... So, there are just a few on the wish-list.
