| Kirsten and Nick's Europe Trip 2003-2005!!! |
| Hey Everyone!
Well as the time to leave London draws closer Nick and I decided to get a bit more organized and setup up this travel journal. Since we'll be gone so long and probably won't have much time to write individual e-mails or even call that often this will be a way for everyone to keep track of us and to hear some stories as we go - instead of having to wait months until you see us again!
Nick leaves in just a couple of weeks for his adventure around Western France, Spain, and Portugal in the ambulance with all the boys. A journey I am a bit jealous of but pulling through as I think of the smell that in sure to linger in that van after a few short days. They're excited though--and who wouldn't be? Honestly, if you had a vehicle kitted out with a hole and a funnel so that you didn't have to pull over to pee wouldn't you be too? :)
I don't leave for another month which I am fairly bummed about, mostly due to the fact that it is now nearly June and London doesn't seem to know it's supposed to be summer. My excitement to get to the coast of Spain and just lay on the beach before Running of the Bulls is so great that I can honestly feel the sand between my toes! San Sebastian won't know what hit when I get there. But then again poor Spain and Portugal probably won't know what hit when the boys come putting through in their ambulance.
Now onto what to expect. I arrive in Spain the very beginning of July where I meet Nick in Pampolona. Nick will definitely be running and I think I will too-although I'm definitely really scared about it. It's still a consideration but just shhhhhh don't tell my mom! :) We stay in Pampolona until July 8th when our trains tickets start. From there we make our way to Berlin via a bit of France, Belgium, and Amsterdam for a night of fun. From Berlin to the Czech Republic for a bit of cruising around and then over to Krakow, Poland. Krakow to Budapest via a bit of Slovakia. Budapest to Austrai via the rest of Slovakia. Then through Austria to Switzerland where a bit of supreme sports action will be had! After Switzerland we head to the south of France to check out Nice and Monaco before heading to Italy for a couple of weeks. Italy to Slovenia. Slovenia to Croatia to Bosnia, back into Croatia for a bit of island hopping. From Croatia we go to the Greek islands and then to Turkey for a while before flying back to London. We'll stay in London for a little bit to say all our goodbyes before we fly back home (America!) I'm really so excited, cause not only do we get to experience an amazing trip through Europe but I get to come home and see everyone afterwards! Honestly, everyone better be as excited as me! I mean c'mon--you're getting Kirsten back into the States, what could be better? :) |
