Italy Spring 2009! |
|
CIAO~ Welcome to my trip journal!
I hope that you will have a few moments to connect and follow my travels throughout Italy with me. My documents are in order, and I am beginning to determine what will fit into my backpack (on wheels!), and, what will be staying home. (Somethings for sure are my hair dryer, straightening products, and irons-- this will make for a very 'au naturelle' look!)
Thanks to Google Maps, I have an image of my first sights as I step out of Stazione Termini- small compact vehicles lining the narrow cluttered street, people out and about their daily activities, and, a pizzeria across from the Metro entrance. I am wondering if this is what I will really perceive at the moment.
Check my itinerary- it has room for flexibility as I have a Eurail pass. My plan is to see as much country as possible as I travel from south to north, yet spend quality time in Rome, Tuscany, and Cinque Terre regions to savour the local culture, the antiquities, and the art.
When travelling and trekking, my blog postings will depend upon my access to an internet cafe (computer), as well as the frequency of winery visits, my searching for Benneton, consoling my blisters, and whatever other adventure may come my way.
May 8th is the day which I leave Canada, and I will arrive in Rome on May 9th- Day 1.
Enjoy and andiamo!
