Welcome to the travel blog for the Humphrey family's trip around the world. Sandy, Jo, Kit (3) and Austin (1) departed on March 25th 2005 and are touring Australasia and the USA, before returning to the UK at the beginning of August.
Current Whereabouts
Sanibel Island, Florida. (A holiday/retirement resort on the Gulf Coast. Beaches awash with shells, sea warm and shallow - lovely for the kids, who have shown their appreciation by behaving abysmally ever since we arrived).

29/07: We left four months ago, and now we've only got a couple of days to go. This trip has been one of the best things we've ever done; some of things we've learned:
> We drink less alcohol on holiday than we do when we're working
> Austin is a secret comedian
> The average American road-user makes Jo look like a member of the Institute of Advanced Drivers
> Sandy cannot grow a respectable beard
