2005 Alaska RV Adventure

Keith and Guy Goethner / Alaska travel blog
Welcome to Keith and Guy Goethner's 2005 RV Adventure to Alaska. The main objective of this trip is to drive the Alaska Highway. The Alaska Highway was previously known as the ALCAN Highway and begins in Dawson Creek BC, Canada and ends in Delta Junction, AK about 1390 miles away. The Alaska Highway reaches it's highest point in Lake Summit at 4250 feet. Once into Alaska we will observe another engineering marvel, the Alaska Pipeline. Along with these man-made spectacles, we expect to see spectacular natural sites and wildlife. I will update the site whenever we have access to the Internet, and hope that you enjoy seeing and hearing about our trip.

In early March we decided to pursue this adventure and started the planning. Based upon our current plan, we will travel between 10,500 and 11,000 miles on this journey and take about 5 weeks.
