Welcome to my travel site!
I'm John, a 43 year old from Atkinson, New Hampshire, USA. Throughout March and April I'll be posting periodical entries here as I embark on a two month "once in a lifetime" adventure through Europe.
Traveling independently (solo), my journey begins with a flight from Boston to London on March 4th. From there, my backpack and I will be riding the rails through 17 countries utilizing a 2-month (1st class, unlimited travel) Eurorail pass. I return home on April 29th.
This site is dedicated to my two children, Lauren (22 mos.) and Ryan (4 yrs.) for whom I'll be keeping a trip journal and writing a personal guidebook. Perhaps someday they'll want to take the same journey that their Dad once did.
