After much consideration and hard work, we are taking a sabbatical and heading out West! We (Myra and Gene) are recreating Gene's parents' trip west in the sixties. We detoured through Louisiana because it is one of our favorite places. The music and food are the best!
We traveled across Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and spent way too much time in California but there was so much to see. We traveled the eastern side of California and hit as many hot springs as possible, we visited the Four Corners of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. We have now visited all the national parks and a lot of the national monuments in the southwest. Wyoming and the Platte River were on our list to see and we did. The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone were unbelievable. We've traveled over 8,600 miles and that's just the motorhome --- we're movin' on - heading east so Gene can be back at his desk July 14th!
