Christmas 2008 - In the Panama Canal |

From Fort Lauderdale, we’ll sail away aboard Holland America’s elegant cruise ship, The Zuiderdam, to the Panama Canal. As we sail along the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, we’ll have ports of call in The Bahamas, Aruba, and Curacao with an at-sea day for rest and relaxation. On Christmas Day, we’ll enter the Panama Canal, that famous man-made waterway, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. A fantastic engineering accomplishment, the Canal dramatically altered trade routes and had a profound impact on world commerce. After a "canal day" and a tour to Panama City, our last port of call will be Puerto Limon in Costa Rica, followed by two more at-sea days cruising back to Fort Lauderdale.
