Welcome to our trip journal! Why are two people from land-locked Oklahoma setting sail for places unknown? That's the million dollar question. The best answer we can come up with is "Why not?". Our boat is a 45 foot Gulfstar we purchased in February 2006. We believe we have it outfitted for the trip, but as everyone knows, you never have enough spare parts. But one thing we have a lot of is that adventurous spirit. That longing to go see what's out there.

We've been reading Lattitudes & Attitudes magazine for a while now (LACC#750) and absolutely love everybody's stories. The problem is, we have none of our own. Until now. The time has come to set sail and get some stories of our own. We did attend their Advanced Cruising Seminar in August 2006 and now we know a little more than nothing. It's a great seminar for future cruisers, loaded with valuable information.
