Welcome to our journal of our 4-night cruise to the Bahamas with Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas.

This was our fourth cruise, but first with Royal Caribbean. We drove to Florida, leaving on November 21, 2009, and our ship departed Port Canaveral on Monday, November 23, 2009 (my birthday!). On Tuesday we cruised to Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, and then to Nassau on Wednesday. We enjoyed Thanksgiving Day at sea, before returning to Port Canaveral on Friday morning, November 27, 2009.
