A Wing & A Prayer |

This is the opportunity of our lives and we are so grateful that we are able to share it with each and everyone of you. It's alright to refer to us as gypsies, travelers, vagabonds, full-timers or any term you feel comfortable with. All we know is that we are having the time of our lives finally living our lives by following our hearts and not allowing our fears to stop us. We are learning so much and are overcoming the many obstacles we are encountering.
Our new lifestyle began in February of 2005 when we ended up at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon living in a 5th Wheel for about seven months. What a learning experience this was and the entire story can be read on our website, www.hittheroadjackenterprises.com.
The next phase began in January of 2006 in Quartzsite, Arizona and continued to Daytona Beach, Florida for what we thought was the beginning of our NASCAR Tour 2006 and we attempted to do it this time in a tent. This only lasted about 3 weeks and over 5,000 miles before we had to turn back to regroup and found ourselves back in Phoenix. Things got messy with our daughter but then we were offered a managing position in Minnesota that we could not refuse. This was not part of our original plan but nonetheless it has been an adventure all of it's own. We now know what it is like to work for the best owners of any campground . Not only did we have the time of our lives we also were able to visit many interesting places in the area and then at the end of the season we were able to purchase our own RV and we are now ready for the greatest adventures of our lives.
The plan for 2007 is in full bloom as we already have most of the tracks lined up for work. It will begin mid January when we head to Daytona once again but with a much better outcome. Work will begin and continue for about three weeks at Daytona International Speedway and then head back west for a few weeks continuing with most of the tracks on the circuit. We will not attempt to do every race but most will be accomplished this year and the others will just have to wait for next year.
We hope you enjoy our journaling and our websites and please feel free to contact us. We truly look forward to all the advice, suggestions, questions and especially the thoughtful words you send, we will reply as fast as time will allow us to do which is usually within a few days.
