The title of this blog just popped into my head one day. Although I couldn't shake the feeling that it was extremely corny, the more I thought about it, the truer the metaphor seemed. Every experience, every period of one's life is like an island. Some are big, some are small; some are beautiful, some are not; some are exciting, some are rather boring. But when they're all put together, they make up a chain - or an archipelago - that we call life.
